Mesa (Ariz.) Community College CB Damarious Randall pledges to ASU

It happened quickly for Mesa (Ariz.) Community College CB Damarious Randall. An unknown one month ago and today he commits to a PAC 12 program.

Randall says, "I committed to Arizona State." He also had offers from San Diego State, FIU, Louisiana, FAU, Minnesota, Utah State, Western Michigan, South Alabama and New Mexico.

Randall (6-0 180) comments on his rapid rise in stock, "I am blessed. I was going through the struggle but now I am back on track and doing well. Everything happens for a reason.

Randall spent two season playing baseball at Butler Community College, red-shirting one, and decided he wanted to give football another try. "My brother lives in Arizona and I sent my film out to the JCs in Arizona and Mesa was the first to respond, so I came out here."

And quite an impression he has made, he is one of the nation's leaders in INTs with 7.

So why ASU? "I had a lot of one on one time with them and the coaches made me feel at home. Plus I was looking at the depth chart and that was one of my main factors, being able to step on the field," he says.

With all of the attention is this a firm commitment? Ranadall says, "Well it is a verbal commitment but unless something dramatically changes, I will be signing my letter of intent with ASU."

Randall will have two years to play two in Tempe.
