The WMU (1-8, 0-6 MAC) football team fell to Bowling Green (7-2, 5-1 MAC) 52-0 today in Doyt Perry Stadium in front of 18,439 fans and a regional TV audience. 49 of the Falcons points were scored in the first half.

Before it was all said and done the Broncos would have given up 666 yards – 551 of which in the first half – while WMU only gained 295 of their own. Quarterbacks Ryan Cubit and Blayne Baggett would combine for 213 yards in the air as the ground game struggled gaining only 82 yards.

The only bright spots for the Broncos were only giving up three points to the Falcons in the second half and Adam Anderson punting an average of 46.8 yards on 6 punts. Greg Jennings eclipsed 2000 yards receiving in his career becoming the fourth Bronco to do so.

Bowling Green’s P.J. Pope racked up 202 yards rushing while Omar Jacobs would throw for 300 yards completing 17 of 20 passes including four touchdowns.

The next action for the Broncos is November 13 at Waldo Stadium against the Miami RedHawks. BGSU returns to action against Marshall also next Saturday for their final home game of the season.
