John Wooden Speaks To Broncos

Legendary men's basketball coach John Wooden spoke to the Western Michigan men's basketball team for nearly two hours Friday morning at the team's hotel in Marina del Rey, Calif.

The Broncos are in California to play USC Saturday afternoon. Western Michigan head coach Steve Hawkins got to know the former UCLA mentor while working Wooden's camps when Hawkins was just beginning his coaching career. Bronco assistant coach Jeff Dunlap played for the Bruins. Wooden answered questions from the players and shared his philosophies on a variety of topics.
