Bronco Commit Talks Football
Saad visited the Broncos officially on December 13th and he talked about the visit.
"I was hosted by Joel Pfaendtner and the visit was excellent," said Saad. "The facilities are top notch and the coaches and players were both very impressive. I felt very comfortable overall on the visit."
Saad, who is being recruited by quarterbacks coach Dan Enos, says he plans to study Business in college.
"I think Western is the right place for me to fulfill my goals both on and off the field," said Saad. "I chose them due to both coach Darnell and the overall fit Western seemed to be for me."
Saad rushed for over 1,500 yards and 27 touchdowns this past year. He is a full qualifier with a 3.1 GPA and an 18 on the ACT.
He talked more about coach Darnell.
"He really struck me as a straight shooter and a guy that wanted to stay there for a long time," said Saad. "He just seems to want to win and do great things there so I really liked him."
Saad says he plans to redshirt in 2003 and will compete for playing time in 2004. He chose Central Michigan and Michigan State also came into the picture late and asked him to wait but his mind was made up. He will be a Bronco!
