| Biography: |
| With the Broncos looking to revive a once strong running game that turned out 1,000 yard rushers year after year, Trovon looks to be a huge factor in the revival. Last season he was the leading rusher with 691 yards on 172 carries. His 5 touchdowns was second on the team. He was third on the team scoring 30 points and fifth in receptions with 20. He has 2-career 100-yard rushing games and 3-multiple touchdown games. Against Northern Illinois he rushed for 159 yards on 27 carries scoring 2 touchdowns. He had over 20 carries 4 times, an eight game receptions streak and a pair of runs over 40 yards against NIU and CMU. He missed the Bowling Green game due to injury.
In 2003 he had two touchdowns against Marshall and averaged 8.0 yards on 4 carries against Northern Illinois. He didn't see any action until week 5. The first three games was missed due to a hand injury and four games were missed due to an ankle injury.
In 2002 he helped the Broncos end a 29-year drought at Central Michigan by rushing for 109 yards and scoring two touchdowns in the Broncos 35-10 victory. His 27 carries in the CMU games was 23 more than his previous high. During the season he averaged 4.2 yards per carry, saw his first action as a Broncos in the season opener against Indiana State, split time with Daniel Marks as a back-up for Phil Reed and was on the special teams.
His freshman season he earned Offensive Stallion of the Week (9/10) while being redshirted.
Marks earned a Chicago Tribune All-State Special Mention in high school. He was also listed among the top 100 prospects by the Chicago Sun-Times. He was a Kankakee Daily Journal All-Area First Team pick and an All-SICA Orange First Team selection.
He is majoring in Family Studies. |
