| A 5th year senior from Waukegan, Illinois. Jermaine was moved from the weak safety position to wide receiver during spring practice this year. In the spring game he had caught 2 passes for 63 yards and 1 touchdown, for the White team in a 20-0 White team victory over the Black team. Lewis was second in 2001 in total team defense. He had 77 tackles 5 for a loss of 12 yards, 2 sacks for 5 yards, and 2 interceptions for 13 yards. Named to the 2000 and the 2001 All-MAC Second Team Defense. In 2000 led WMU defensive backs with eight tackles for loss and three sacks. Most improved player for special teams during 2000 spring practice. 1999 Stallion of the Year on special team for scout teams play. Was a 3-time selection for Stallion of the Week. Offense in preparation for Eastern Michigan, special teams in preparation for Northern Illinois, and Buffalo. Lewis is also a member of the men’s track team. Was a two-sport star in football and track at Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Was the conference champion in the 55 and outdoor 200. A member of the 4x100 relay squad, which finished third at the NCAA Division III, meet. Was a high school All-conference selection in track and football. |
