| Biography: |
| A redshirt junior from Broadview, Illinois. Philip was the leading rusher in 2001 with 539 yards on 122 carries, scoring 2 touchdowns. He also caught 12 passes for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns. In 2000, he scored his first collegiate touchdown against Indiana State. Philip was named the Special Teams Stallion of the Week on October 2. He was a redshirt freshman representative on the WMU Player Cabinet. In 1999 he was named the Stallion of the Year on offense for scout teams play, and twice-received Stallion of the Week honors on offense. Philip was the MVP of the Chicago Private School League. He was also a three-time All-PSL and all-area selection. Philip had 5,120 career-rushing yards and 72 touchdowns, while rushing for over 1,000 yards in three separate seasons. |
