| A redshirt junior from Paw Paw, Michigan. Named to the second team All-MAC defensive squad, Jason had a great season for the Broncos. Jason saw action on defense and on offense, as well as on the kick return team. In a game at Waldo Stadium, Jason recovered a blocked punt in the endzone for a touchdown at the end of the 2nd quarter. Jason returned one kickoff for 10 yards. On defense Jason had 56 tackles, 13 for a loss of 51 yards including 7 sacks for 35 yards. In 2000, Jason was the only true freshmen to play and letter. He made his first career start at Kent State. At Paw Paw High School, he was sidelined during the entire 1998 season after breaking his leg in the season opener. He was named to the All-Kalamazoo Valley Association First Team as a junior averaging over 22 tackles per game. He was a two-time team MVP on defense. Jason also won the state wrestling title and became the first wrestler at Paw Paw to record 100 career wins. |
