S Louis Delmas: Lions Reel in Second-Rounder

The Detroit Lions have signed second-round pick S Louis Delmas to a
four-year deal, the team announced Thursday. To make room on their 80-man roster
for Delmas, the team released veteran DE Erik Hicks. Hicks signed a
one-year, $845,000 deal with the Lions back in May.
The hard-hitting defensive back out of Western Michigan University is expected
to compete for the starting job this season at strong safety.
